On Mother’s day, we have notice that quite a number of Chinese restaurants are serving shark fins. While we are showing our appreciation, love and thankfulness to our mothers, do not forget to say “no” to shark fins! It was no easy task for mothers to bring us to the world, so as for sharks.…
We were happy to have school talk with Fung Kai Kindergarten on the 22nd April! All of them were so actively and willing to answer our questions! Hope they could understand more about sharks after listening to our talk!
We have a lot of school talks recently! We had our second talk this week on 15th April at SKH Ka Fuk Wing Chun Primary School with nearly 400 students! They all actively participated in the talk! Hope they all enjoyed and understand the importance of protecting sharks!
We went to Kennedy Primary School and gave a talk to 300 students to teach them the basic information of sharks, what difficulties they are facing and how to help them. We truly hope they could understand and would support us!
We went to West Island School and gave a talk to 190 students on the 10th March. We hope they could understand the importance of shark conservation and would like to join our army soon!
4 ambassadors from Clearwater bay Primary School has held an event at their own school. They collected signature to urge Cathay Pacific to stop shipping shark fins. Also, there was a small exhibition to educate their fellow schoolmate the importance of saving sharks.
Our Fundraising event, Cocktail for change, has been successfully held on the 9th March. We were glad that more than 180 guest enjoyed them enjoyed themselves with the delicious cocktails and canapes throughout the evening. The auction was a great success and we managed to raise $HKD300,000!
We had three sections of storytelling on the last Sunday and shared the adventurous story of Shark Stanley with around 60 kids. We hope they all enjoyed!
On the 26th February, we went to Kowloon Junior School for the Agents of Change NGO event. We gave the same presentation to 4 groups of 40 kids ie approximately 160 kids.
