HKSF gave a talk at a meeting of the Rotary Club of Hong Kong on 3rd June to spread the message of anti-shark-finning. It was a great success as the Rotary Club promised that shark fin soup will not be served at their meetings.
HKSF visited and gave a talk at the American International School on the 29thof May. Students learned about the importance of shark conservation and ways to protect sharks. We are very glad to have 3 students from AIS joining HKSF as volunteers!

Chinese International School Talk HKSF visited Chinese International School on the 7th April and delivered a presentation, “Anti-finning”. It is exciting to raise students’ awareness about this issue, and particularly to receive active responses from them. As a bonus, many students signed up to petitions to support HKSF’s conservation work. Even better, many of them now want to be one of our volunteers!
Spreading the message of shark conservation in Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Pier HKSF were out and about in March, did you meet us at TST Ferry Pier? Our friendly, cuddly sharks distributed leaflets and posed for photos. You might see us again in HK – helping to dispel myths about sharks and raise public’s awareness…

HKSF talked to students at Victoria (Belcher) Kindergarten on 10th January. The students enjoyed participating in role plays, dramas and games. The talk was educational and fun, and we still had time for lots of questions during the Q&A section!
