This #EndangeredSpeciesDay we at Hong Kong Shark Foundation 香港護鯊會 are very excited to raise awareness about the importance of sharks with this fantastic video from 17 year old Canadian International School of Hong Kong student Mary Sieker. Woot woot!
Mary has been a very supportive and compassionate CDNIS Shark Ambassador in 2023 and when we asked her why she wanted to make this video to save sharks, Mary said:
“I’m passionate about shark conservation because of my love for animals, but also because of my interest in environmental conservation. Sharks are incredibly important creatures in contributing to healthy ecosystems and biodiversity, which makes their conservation have an expansive ripple effect in the conservation of the environment. Additionally, they are beautiful and smart creatures which should be protected.”
