Yet another HUGE shark fin smuggling case in Hong Kong this week – 5 tons of shark fin valued at HKD 21 million (USD 2.7 million). Sadly importing, exporting or selling shark fins is NOT illegal in Hong Kong and we assume these are most likely endangered AND protected species being smuggled through Hong Kong.
