CONGRATS to “THE ARK” students from English Schools Foundation Sha Tin College who as part of their commitment to raise awareness about the global issue of #climatechange decided to create a #podcast series interviewing local NGO’s in Hong Kong about critical conservation issues like how apex predators such as sharks are endangered and 1/3 of the species now near extinction due to over fishing and over consumption. 😱
This informative podcast series is called ‘THE ARK: Diving Deeper’ and I am pleased to say that Hong Kong Shark Foundation 香港護鯊會 is the first NGO to be interviewed. The podcast can be found in the link below and I hope you will LISTEN, LEARN and SHARE on your social media to help spread their message about the important global issue of climate change.
IN ADDITION to their awesome podcast series, the Shatin College STC students on November 28 will also be hosting an in school pop-up shop at Sha Tin College during senior break and lunch, selling custom-made shark-themed design T-shirts and tote bags in collaboration with Hong Kong Shark Foundation 香港護鯊會 and Redress ! Woo hoo! These students are really on fire on STC! 👋
BEST NEWS is that these STC student “Shark Ambassadors” Jasmin, Ethan, Kadence and Carmen will kindly donate all proceeds from the sale of these up-cycled, cool products to Hong Kong Shark Foundation 香港護鯊會 to aid our cause to raise awareness about the over 100 million sharks killed every year and save sharks. Thank you to all these amazing students. Well done you!!
