On Wednesday 150 ESF Kennedy School Year 4 students welcomed Hong Kong Shark Foundation 香港護鯊會 to talk about NGO’s for their present Unit of Inquiry “How We Organise Ourselves”.
We talked about how an NGO like HKSF is run and organised and talked about how our mission is to raise awareness about shark conservation and educate about the urgent need to stop the unsustainable consumption of all shark products, particularly shark fins.
Students learned about the importance of taking action and supporting local NGOs in Hong Kong who think globally but act locally.
Thank you to Kennedy School students and teachers for giving back to the community. Special thanks goes to amazing Head of Year 4 teacher Colleen Osborne for the kind invitation to speak and for being an all-around outstanding and compassionate contributor to our children’s future.
