Hong Kong Shark Foundation 香港護鯊會 hosted a fantastic educational walking tour on Saturday of the world’s largest shark 🦈 fin market in Sai Ying Pun in Hong Kong 🇭🇰.
Students from English Schools Foundation’s Quarry Bay School and Renaissance College Hong Kong learned about the devastating impact that global shark finning has on our planet 🌎. Sharks, as apex predators, play an integral role in keeping our delicate marine ecosystem balanced and HKSF believes that educating people about shark conservation is a key way to stop the consumption of shark products.
Thank you 🙏 to all the students, and especially to their parents, for attending this educational walking tour and caring about the education of their children for a better planet 🌎 .
Special thanks also to our 2 awesome summer interns Harry and Kevin from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University for joining to film our educational video of our walking 🚶♀️ tour! Can’t wait to see the finished product as part of their internship. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
If your school or company are interested in having a private education walking tour of the dried shark fin market, please reach out to us at andrea@hksharkfoundation.org.
Please remember – When the buying stops, the killing stops too! 💪❤️🦈
