It’s a Fin Free Friday and we are so grateful and proud of 3 amazing Shark Ambassadors in Discovery Bay who made and sold cookies and lemonade over the Easter Break to help raise awareness in Hong Kong
about the plight of sharks.

It all started with 3 passionate students Stanley, Alisa and Sasha making a HUGE chalk drawing on the road in front of their house, calling it a “gallery” and then putting a hat out to collect donations.
They wanted to support “animals” and their mum suggested HKSF. Turns out that one of the original founders of HKSF, Claire Garner, is a very good friend of the family and they have a very special place in their hearts for sharks and HKSF.

The girls agreed this was a good cause as Stanley keenly remembered meeting HKSF representatives at the DB fair last year! They wanted to do a “bake sale” and the sisters had been told that no childhood is complete without running a lemonade stand! They arranged the shopping. Baked (two lots) of cookies. Set up the stall and went to work.
And the RESULT? These compassionate young ladies raised HKD 1083 on their own as a result of two different events over the Easter holiday! Fantastic job girls. We are so incredibly proud of you all including your supermum Bethan for recommending our small charity.
Plus thanks and photo credit goes to the other super mum Svetlana!

We at Hong Kong Shark Foundation 香港護鯊會 realise that not everyone can do everything, but everyone, just like these three girls, can do something to help our planet
and animals in need like sharks
!
