Latest updates of HKSF’s Shark Ambassador Education Program
Another milestone was reached this week in Hong Kong Shark Foundation’s mission to raise awareness about shark conservation through education. This week we zoom taught 750 primary school students from an amazing, eco-friendly and switched on school in Hong Kong called Kennedy School. The teachers at this outstanding English Schools Foundation school excel at engaging and enriching the lives of their students through fantastic teachers like Tim Tremmel and Colleen Osborne. We are grateful for their kind and compassionate support of not only Hong Kong Shark Foundation but also their support of blue issues like ocean and shark conservation.
Loved being (virtually) back teaching 240+ Year 3 and Year 5 “Shark Ambassadors” at ESF Clearwater Bay Primary School. Many fresh faces and keen minds this year were eager to learn about sharks and the role they play keeping our ocean’s delicate eco-system balanced.
Over 1/3 of sharks are now near extinction and these little shark heroes know that they must be the agents of change to protect sharks from going extinct. Special thanks to Jo Cadman and all the excellent teachers at ESF CWB Primary for helping organize this event and for doing such a great job to educate these kids who were polite, engaged and truly intersted in our shark, the ocean and our enviroment. Well done Jo and team!
