On Mother’s day, we have notice that quite a number of Chinese restaurants are serving shark fins. While we are showing our appreciation, love and thankfulness to our mothers, do not forget to say “no” to shark fins!

Many species of sharks have a low fertility due to their slow sexual maturity.For some sharks, it takes them above 20 years to be sexually mature. It takes a lot of effort to be a shark mom, it takes a Spiny dogfish two years keep their pups until they are born, and that a Grey nurse shark can only keep to two pups at a time.
