Beyond awareness, education and engagement, HASD’s purpose is to change the negative perception people have of sharks. To make sharks personable and relatable. We need to be able to relate to sharks, in order to care about them. We protect what we know and come to love.

Volunteers don shark costumes, our event t-shirts or shark hats, use huggable sharks props and speech bubbles to engage the public. The objective is to trade free hugs in exchange for pledges to cease shark fin soup or shark meat consumption. You can also support by pledging at www.FinishedWithFins.org
